The TABLE tag has been poluted the internet since its presented. It can be used to lay out the web page. People, included me, played table neatly to produce beautiful layout. Combined with Javascript, they produced killer page. The Menu Navigation is no exception. This sounds great.

But almost all nice menus and layouts built from many nested tables, they affect the document size grow bigger and of course need longer time to display on client. Nested or complex tables are the most factor.

As CSS came in and then followed by CSS2, the layout building should be changed, they can be used to build killer page! But many person do not know the power of CSS2, or do not have time to learn it? I dont know.

So, after learnt a couple days about CSS Level 2, I decided to change my page from nested tables to CSS2 based. I got nice layout, there are just little differences compared with previous layout. But I got smaller document size and because I do not use nested tables, the time to display / render page is also faster.

I'm not saying that this is my best layout, I'm not saying that I removed all tables and javascript, on Photo Gallery page, however I still used javascript because I still found little incompatibiliy layout on difference browsers, and I'm trying to fix it. I still use tables to display information, not menu!
